Karen Smith is pretty in that completely unbothered, slightly clueless way where it feels like she didn’t even realise she was supposed to try, it just happened anyway. Her hair is always kind of soft and a little messy, like she brushed it once and then got distracted, but it falls in that perfect way that people actually try to recreate. Her makeup is basically just mascara and lip gloss, nothing precise, or planned, like she just grabbed whatever was there and somehow it works every time. Her nails are random, sometimes painted, sometimes chipped, sometimes nothing at all, and it never ruins the look, it just fits her whole vibe. She’ll wear something slightly off or really simple and still look cute because she’s not thinking about it hard enough to mess it up. There’s this floaty, head in the clouds energy about her where she’s not checking mirrors or fixing anything, she’s just there, smiling, saying something a bit random, and somehow still looking good. Like if she ran into someone important she wouldn’t even clock it as a moment, she’d just be like “hi” and carry on, and still come off effortlessly pretty without even knowing why.

Perfume Collection

Karen Smith wears perfumes that feel soft and sweet. Sweet Like Candy by Ariana Grande is very her, sugary, fluffy and playful, like something you’d spray too much of without realising but it still somehow works. Mod Vanilla by Ariana Grande is warmer and a bit softer, like when she wants something cozy but still light, just that easy “you smell good” kind of scent. Yum Boujee Marshmallow by Kayali is probably the one she’d be obsessed with for a while, really sweet, almost dessert like, but on her it doesn’t feel heavy, just kind of airy and addictive.

Her Body Mists

Warm & Cozy from Victoria’s Secret is so her, soft and slightly sweet, like something she’d spray before bed and then still smell like the next day without even realising. Pink Sugar by Aquolina is the kind of scent she’d accidentally overspray, really sugary and a bit much but on her it’s just cute and kinda addictive. Sweet Like Candy by Ariana Grande as a mist just blends into everything else she uses, like she didn’t even think about it matching. Her mists don’t feel planned at all, they just build up throughout the day, so she ends up smelling like vanilla and sugar and something fruity all at once.

Body Wash & Lotion

For Karen Smith, body wash is way less about matching and way more about “this smells nice so I’m using it.” Pink Frosted Animal Cracker by Philosophy is so her, really sweet and a bit random, like it literally smells like dessert, she just uses it because she likes it. Dove Renewing Care feels like something she’d use without even thinking, just because it’s in the shower, soft and clean and kinda comforting.

Karens lotion is so just based on whatever she likes in the moment, she’s not thinking about matching anything or layering properly. Bare Vanilla from Victoria’s Secret is the one she keeps using without even realising, soft and sweet and easy, and EOS Pomegranate Raspberry is more fruity and a bit random, something she picked once and never stopped using.

Hair Products: Shampoo & Conditioner, Hair Oil

Karen’s hair products are ones she picked out because she liked the bottles, she has stayed loyal to her choices ever since. L’Oreal Glycolic Gloss Shampoo & Conditioner set with the L’Oreal Frizz Killer Serum to keep her hair sleek and shiny.

Extras: the items laying around as decor

Karen’s vanity is scattered with items she thinks are pretty. One of her favourite candles is Yankee Candles Snowflake Cookie, especially in the winter seasons. She’d keep a pink hair straightener always out and ready too, and she’s probably left it turned on by accident on numerous occasions. Lastly essies baby pink nail polish would be a favourite for when she actually remembers to paint her nails.

Makeup Essentials: Eyes, Base, Lips

Eyes: Pinky nudes & soft shimmers

Karen Smith’s eye makeup is super minimal and kind of accidental in the best way. Glossier mascara is her go to because it keeps her lashes soft, a bit lifted, and never clumpy. The Urban Decay Naked 3 palette is what she’d use when she actually does eyeshadow, mostly the pinky nudes and soft shimmers.

Base: Natural and seamless

NARS foundation gives her that even, soft skin finish without looking heavy, like it just smooths everything out and she’s done. e.l.f. concealer is what she’d use in little dots under her eyes or on random spots, nothing precise, just quick fixes here and there. NARS blush is the only part that adds a bit of colour, soft and pinky, always placed a bit imperfectly but it still makes her face look fresh and awake.

Lips: Always Glossed

Karen Smith’s lips are always glossy, Dior Addict Lip Maximiser is what she’d put on when she wants that slightly plumped, shiny look without thinking too much about it. Glossier’s glassy high shine lip gloss is her everyday one, just simple, clear, and easy that she keeps reapplying without noticing. Gisou’s honey infused lip oil is the cute one she’d randomly grab for a bit of tint, soft and slightly rosy so her lips always look a bit fresh and sweet without her trying.
