Meet the Girl Behind the Diary ♡

If you’ve been reading SugarcoatedDiary for a while, you’ve probably learned a lot about my favourite films, my obsession with the 2000s, and my love for autumn. But this post is a little more personal as you can learn a little more about who I am, what I love, and the things that make me happy! Consider this to be a proper introduction to the girl behind the diary, because I would absolutely love to become closer to you all!!

My Energy:

First things first, I’d like to talk about some things I feel makes me, me.

Ever since I was little, my favourite character in books and movies was always the fashionable, girly and relatable characters. I was always wearing disney princess dresses around the house, playing dress up and my favourite colour has ALWAYS been (and always will be), pink.

As I got older, that part of me never left, instead it transformed into something else. Watching TV shows like PrettyLittleLiars, Gossip Girl and The Vampire Diaries took my interest in fashion and aesthetics to an extreme.

I then found myself creating fun and pretty pinterest boards, recreating my favourite character’s outfits and romanticising every part of my life possible.

Lilah’s Interests & Hobbies:

I’ve always loved to create art! I have drawn and painted for as long as I can remember.

I also enjoy writing of any kind. Poetry, writing stories, journalling. I LOVE them all, and english was always my favourite subject at school.

Growing up, I practiced a few different sports and recreational activities like: swimming, gymnastics, karate, and most recently, allstar cheerleading (that was my favourite out of them all). Then I started to try out pilates and yoga, which I still do to this day!!

I have always been interested in spiritual activities so I like to read people’s astrology charts, do tarot cards, manifest new circumstances into my reality and meditate! (which I practice as regular as possible).

Reading and movie watching is also a favourite of mine, and I ADORE every genre. To me, the feeling of finishing a new book or walking out of the cinema with a changed perspective of the world is unmatched. I like to read books that are mainly self development / spiritualistic in nature, and for movies, I love romcoms, fantasy, and drama. I also enjoy watching anime and thanks to my dad, I was raised watching them!

I couldn’t not mention fashion, make up, and self care. This may be the highest on the list. I have always loved making fun DIY beauty treatments, trying out new hair products, putting together the perfect outfit, planning new styles on pinterest and helping my friends decide what shoes go with the dress they’re wearing.

If Lilah Was a Perfume:

To be quite honest I just wanted an excuse to do this trend because I think it’s adorable…If anyone knows a perfume that smells EXACTLY like this let me know (pretty please).
